Teaching young people to enjoy sailing

Free dockage food transportation salary
Full Time Positions
Residential Staff (Houseparents) sought for faith based non-profit residential education program working with adolescent males age 14-17. Preference to individuals who have maritime experience, have lived aboard vessels or RV’s and are capable of living aboard and maintaining a school vessel. MUST be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays.. Seeking long term employees willing to make a minimum one year commitment. Opportunity to live on campus is available.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities include:
Manage a safe and structured atmosphere
Be able to say No and stick to that decision instead of placating
Be a positive role model about overcoming challenges in life.
Supervise preparation, serving, and clean up of meals.
Check chores and report positives and negatives in written form.
Desire to instill a work ethic in today's youth
Participate & lead Scripture reading activity
Provide appropriate behavior redirection
Record evaluations & other reports in written format
Be teachable, help provide a consistent philosophy of engagement with the youth
Must be able to climb stairs daily, and climb into and out of boats, constant walking required Pass Background check
First Aid/CPR required
Must be acceptable to corporate insurance carrier - i.e. no accidents or tickets for past 36 months boyshome.com Doug 904-504-1846

Is there a vessel involved with this school or are you looking for a skipper and boat?

We have vessels, however if you have a boat, we have room for it at the harbor.

That sounds like a great program. I'll forward your posting around to some Coast Guard folks who are getting out in the near future, this might be very interesting to a few.
