Cheoy Lee 31' Sloop Rig

Looks like I'll be demolishing this 31' Cheoy Lee. Aluminum mast, spinnaker pole and slotted jib track. It has no motor. Don't know what, if anything is wrong with it except that it's abandoned in the marina.

Sigh. Going to that big marina in the Orange County California sky.

Nobody wants it? A nice Cheoy Lee Trintella?

No interest?

I thought for sure somebody in the California Bay areas would grab it.

Glass hulll, wood house, 31 x 8'6. Beautiful mahogany interior....

Well, to start with, if you actually were offering to give the boat away or to sell it, don't you think you could actually say that? What are your intentions? Do you have the right to sell/give it away? If it has a beautiful interior maybe you could put a few photos of that interior in a post.

Re: Cheoy Lee 31' Sloop Rig

Sorry about that. I may be able to arrange to give it away if the taker can have it trucked away from the marina quickly. It cannot stay in the marina. So if you're interested and can truck it away (costs include towing it to the shipyard, pulling the mast, putting it on a truck, and trucking it to wherever....)

The inside of the boat is in fair condition, but it's a shambles of abandoned personal property/trash.

It's absolutely a neglected fixer/project boat.

I think the question is, Do you have clear enough title to sell or give the boat away? Getting (or worse, buying) a boat and finding out you have to go through hell to get clear title does not make for any kind of a good deal. It is a shame that a potentially beautiful boat may go to the dump. ____Grant.

You know, if the OP had framed their original post a bit more succinct the resulting responses might have been different.

To me there was nothing unclear. The OP made a statement and the boat is gone.

We will see more of this as boats are getting older and marina slots more expensive.
