Sea Runner Trimarans

Hi to all the Tri Guys and Gals

Having a ball reading seemingly endless dialogue on the Searunners.
One guy that seemed to be very active was Steve Rust.

Is steve still part of the Searunner family as i would like to contact him

Thanks and Fair Winds

Simon

Re: Sea Runner Trimarans

Simon i dont think he has been around much. The long time running Searunner forum is moving along with great momentum but Steve doesn't seem to be part of it for some time now. Residing in England from memory. It would be great to have a Searunner meet someplace in the states where many are residing

Thanks rossad
Its a shame Steve has gone quiet as he had much to contribute.
Roy Miles is also very active and informative.
My love of tri’s is quite recent after being a cat man for many years.
A few Searunners here in OZ but i believe there were many built in NZ where i assume you are.
A Searunner meet up would be great and particularly while Jim Brown is still about and active

Yes that is a really good point while Jim is still around.
There would be... I think about 7 Searunners in New Zealand.
A lot more Piver's they are everywhere up every creek.
I live at Waiheke Island where there are 3 Searunners.
A 34, 37, 40 footer.
The 34 and the 40 are on the Searunner Owners list.
I tried to get my 37 on the list but it just didn't happen.
The Searunner is a brilliant boat I cannot speak highly enough. They work.
Maybe one fault is on the front underwing simply not built as strong as they should have been and show cracks with pounding.
the way to fix it is put another sheet of ply over that area and create large convex curves with a fillet and glass along the edges to give more impact strength.
Otherwise the boat is amazing really. If you can get own do so . You just need the time and energy to keep up the maintenance and sail her away.
