Hull Identification Number For A Jeanneau SO 519

I can not finf the Hull number on a Sun Odyssey 519, normally I would think, it will on a plate under the engine or stamped in, on stbd aft quarter.

This is specific question for a Sun Odyssey 519, I really like the find out the stamped in Hull number location, cheers

The primary location is on the transom, starboard side molded into the hull. The secondary location can be in any number of places

in an unexposed location on the interior of the boat or beneath a fitting or item of hardware.

Has to be on the transom pretty obvious to meet build requirements but a repaired hull could hide it. A tricky area to repair or replace and you are suppose to put the numbers back. I replaced a plywood laminate transom with a carbon fibre casting. We made a negative mould off the old transom.
In the Beneteau manual you can download it gives you specific details of a boats serial.

Incorrect. The OP's boat has a transom gate, therefore the boat is considered not to have a transom. The HIN/MIC is on the starboard topsides, aft, just below the rub rail a few feet from the stern. The first three characters are IRI and may be quite faint.

Don't Jeanneau also have the capacity or Euro rating plate in the cockpit by the throttle, used to crew on one and seem to remember it as being "loud and proud" so to speak. Think the HIN was on it as well.

I've seen a few but not many.

Can not Ron mine either. It is not on the capacity plate by the shifter. There is a French serial number in the port engine area but not an HIN. Also could not find the serial number for the Yanmar 4JH80. Been on the Yanmar website but it is not where advertised.

Α euro boat built to the RCD must legally have a CE plate of built after 1998. That plate will state RCD category and have the hull number.

The hull number will be on the transom or nearby and often printed or etched insure the cockpit lockers too

It will also be on the builders certificate which by law must also exist.

On my boat the Hin is in several places.

Not for boats built for export to non EEC countries, although they do show up once in a while.

Just noticed you have a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 389. Thought it was funny that you didn't know your own HIN/MIC is on the starboard topsides aft.
