Beneteau Speakers

Anyone know what size speakers are in the cockpit of the Beneteau 373?

Looks like 5 1/2”

Doesn’t seem correct.

Thanks

Kev

A lot of times the previous owner may change items on the boat, and speakers are a prime candidate for this. Can't you measure them?

Cheers!

Re: Beneteau Speakers

5 1/4 " is a standard speaker size for car and marine applications.
Below is a Sony 5.25" speaker as shown on Conrad's website.
The depth of the speaker could be an issue (if new ones are deeper than old)
I would make sure new ones are weatherproof (no paper cones).
Should be able to source locally or mail-order.

Re: Beneteau Speakers

FWIW I replaced the speakers in my cockpit this year.

First I purchased these, which I returned because they are slightly larger than specified and did not fit properly.

The I purchased these, which fit but are pretty poor sounding speakers IMHO.

IDK if there are any decent sounding speakers that are also weather resistant. As always ymmv.
