OCPN5: Dual canvas and GPS symbols

Hi.

I have looked a bit on the dual canvas feature - nice work!
One thing that I wonder about though:
When you switch to split canvas view, the GPS symbol in the corner appears in both windows, but only the rigth show the current GPS status.
(See attached screen dump)
Maybe only the rightmost symbol should be shown, alternatively that both should show the GPS status.

Another feature: you can select either of the windows, shown by the blue screen. I think it would be neat if the selected canvas window was the one that stays when single window is selected again (or maybe I'm missing something in my thinking so...).

Once again - thanks for all your effort to bring us an updated version.

Best Regards
Magnus

The GPS status is valid for both canvas so only showed once, the right was selected.
The handle buttons is a fast way to control head up or course up mode for each canvas. Consequently shown on both.

Could have been a feature if you like. But so far this could be a tracker feature request from you and see if others agree by there votes.

Awkward - I have been using the program for SIX years without realizing that the small compass arrow is clickable with a FUNCTION..
Then I see the reason for showing it in both views!
I have always been using right-clicking to shift between north/ course up...

I've a similar history. Though I never use the, for me, weird course up mode I recognized that's a click button last summer.
