Beneteau First 41s5

Hi everyone
Trying refurbishment of my Beneteau but having trouble finding parts. Have tried Beneteau agents here in Australia but they don't seem interested.
Can anyone help.
Regards
Harro

Why, fancy that! A manufacturer who does not support their product... whoda thunk?

What sort of parts do you need? Beneteau does not manufacture most of the bolt-on bits that end up in their boats, so there should be other sources. I'm no expert about Benies, but there are likely owners groups somewhere that would have ideas that could help you (excuse me if you've already been that route).

Good luck with your search and your project.

Jim

Ain't that the truth Jim!

Harro... I have some contacts over at Bene USA, Marion SC... Not really a "retail" type of location, but maybe they can help you out...

As Jim says, it would be helpful to know what you are looking for...

I'll send you a note...

Thanks for your advice Jim, I bet if I was looking at buying a new Benie I'd be fighting them of.
Do you know if manufacturers supplied parts list & operating manuals with new boats back in the nineties?
One of these would help me enormously.

Harro, sorry, but I can't help you there. haven't purchased a new boat since 1971, and that cured me of that habit!

Benie may have had owner's manuals, but I doubt if detailed parts lists were included... that would be too damn useful, and might lead folks into buying stuff from other sources!

But do tell us just what you are looking for... maybe some help will come forth.

Jim

...one of my favourite designs if I went by the looks alone...such a beauty!
what parts exactly do you need that did not come from a supplier but from beneteau directly? writing in french might help tremendously in getting replies from them...
(customer of ours once got a rudder from Fountain-Pajot...)

Well that sucks. I'm new to sailing and have been leaning toward the Beneteaus.

Good luck to you

Re: Beneteau First 41s5

Harro, the link DDabs provided is amazing. You have to sign up for an account (free) and you are provided a login. I have a Beneteau 423 and was able to find exploded diagrams of the boat complete with part nos. I lost a rear grille cover and was able to find the part there. Could have ordered it on the spot by clicking a button but it was $278. At least now that I have a proper description I can look for it from other suppliers for less hopefully. But a great resource nonetheless!! Good luck.

Re: Beneteau First 41s5

Well I tried Beneteau USA for spare parts but prices are prohibitive to me. One of the parts I'm looking for is a 3 gang switch pictured below. Can anyone help with this.
