Bahamas Checkin

Arrived in Bimini yesterday and checked in. Was able to pay my $300 with a credit card. Don't know if this is available everywhere, so you should look it up.

Just passing the info along.

Re: Bahamas Checkin

Where did you tie up? The last couple of times I checked in at Bimini the marinas were filled (I was lucky enough to arrive during some big sport fishing even both times) so I anchored off the beach on the Gulf Stream side and dinghied in to clear. No one asked or seemed to care or show any interest in seeing the boat, just fill in the forms and pay the money.

Re: Bahamas Checkin

I'm at Bimini Blue Water Marina. It seems full, but I made a reservation a couple days prior.

A reservation? Who does that? I don't even know where I'll be this afternoon, much less in a couple of days.

Turns out that my wife, who went and did the check in, messed up and used our debit card instead (good thing I was on line banking for something else so I knew ). So that's even more new info.

Here is some more info on that. The card never left my wife's sight and that is the only time she has ever used used that debit card. 2 months later we get a fraud alert from the bank and the card gets locked because someone in Brazil made a $5 charge on it.
