Garmin Twin Plotters on Bavaria

Hello,

We are about to commission our newly bought Bavaria Cruiser 46', which was ordered with two Garmin 721 plotters on each side.
I try to figure out through Bavaria (so far unsuccessfully) if the two plotters come installed with the GMS 10 marine network expander, so that the two plotters can share maps and radar data. If not, this means that i will have to but two maps - one for each plotter and this sounds just a waste of money.

Does anyone have an idea?

thank you.

Garmin used the id no of the GPS for unlocking the maps so technically if you have 1 GPS talking to multiple MDFs you should be able to have your maps on all of them.

If your MDF's each have their own GPS then you can't use the same license for both machines

Re: Garmin Twin Plotters on Bavaria

first the hub isn't necessarily needed as depending on # of ports the screens are simply wired together.

however the other question to ask is if the screens are networkable. a lot of the lower end garmins are not. it may have a radar or sounder only network port and not share any data with or without a hub. I think this is the case with the 721's. if you have 2 screens you should have the 7000 or 8000 screens
