Crew wanted 8/1/2020 slow cruising St. Pete to Key West

Crew wanted approx August 1st cruising from St. Pete along west coast of Florida mostly day hopping with few overnights sails. Expected stopping Port Charlotte, Everglades, Dry Touttugas, Key West. My current plan flexible maybe take about six weeks. I'm in no rush and plan anchoring out 90% of the time. The person must be responsible have their own finances be able to cover any and all personal costs, food, medical, travel, beverages, etc., Must have common sense. Sailing / boating experience a plus. Must be drug / smoke free! Alcohol is fine in moderation (no alcohol while boat is moving)

Being able to get along is probably most important thing! I'm 59 retired network engineer, conservative. Have a wife / two daughters / home in Orlando area. No drugs, No Romance, NO financial support whatsoever! I plan on cruising for a year or so. The right person would be great.

Boat
1978 Biscay 36 ketch she was built in UK LLOYD'S +100A1 for offshore sailing, all fiberglass / no core used. Crossed Atlantic in 1985. Three Biscay 36 late 1970s boats were chosen for Golden Globe single-handed round the world nonstop race in 2019 a reenactment of first solo non-stop in 1968. My Biscay sat in boat yard for nearly 10 years when I purchased her and started a refit. Five months later working 12 hours per day 7 days a week. Including through hulls, tank cleaning, bottom job, rigging, all plumbing, all electrical LifePo4 batteries, stove oven, water heater, windless, cockpit shower, transmission rebuilt, engine Perkins 4-108 alternator, starter and diesel fuel pump rebuilt, head, small portable generator, Rocna anchor and chain.

Note: The boat is in the water at this time.

Things that still need to be done - mast head instruments install, lazy jack fixed on mizzen, some canvas repair, organize test.

Nice to have - if time permits 400-600W solar panel install, finish water-maker build, galley storage and varnishing interior.

Note: The boat has not sailed for nearly 12 years be warned I'm sure we will find issues.

If your game and local get in touch. -Matt
