South Africa in September?

I have a week in South Africa (Cape Town area) and Namibia this September, I wonder how is the sailing season/weather systems down under this time of the year?

Tony Herrick (himself a circumnavigator) of Cruising Connections in Durban is always happy to assist yachtsmen visiting South Africa.

Re: South Africa in September?

The winter at that time of year is not quite over, plus you have the cold water heading north from Antarctica. Feb is the best time of year for a visit to those parts.

Thank you all! It doesn't seem to be a guaranteed safe ride.
