Mast track hardware

I’ve got a 2006 Beneteau 373 and the “boom” side of the mast has a slot with two “cars” that are essentially rods with screws protruding per the photo. These are located below the gooseneck connection which is riveted to the mast so they don’t seem to have any function - or do they? Anybody know what purpose they serve?

Re: Mast track hardware

Could they be for mounting screens for instrument displays? AWI, speed, VMG?
