Sail from Boston to Daytona Beach

Hello:
I am a retired RN, I have a dream! I want to introduce my 2 grandsons, ages 15 and 17 to sailing...a first time, unforgettable experience. I crewed on Lake Michigan for 6 Summers 5 years ago. Learning to sail and crew is a fabulous experience. I also moderately windsurfed for 5 years. I had a cabin cruiser runabout for 20 years. So my love for water and adventure is something I want them to know about.
I would plan this trip in June 2021. I am not sure of the nauticle miles or time.
Please text or contact me at 6144047661

Re: Sail from Boston to Daytona Beach

Sailing dreams are great and the right drive to explore and actually go sailing - the greatest fun in the world!
Sailing from Boston to Florida isn’t the most difficult thing on earth, however, not sure it is the ideal way for a first time experience.
The shortest practical distance is over 1,000 nautical miles. You need an appropriate boat and an experienced crew with offshore cruising.

To begin with the kid’s experience, I can recommend a course at the Courageous Sailing Center at the Chsrlestown Navy Yard.

You can send me a private message here if you like more information.
