Outboard motor regular shaft, sailpro or extra long shaft?

Hello. I have a Santana 21 with the regular motor mount. I'm wondering if I need the Sail Pro extra long shaft or not? I'm mostly interested in lake sailing and will plan on bringing up the keel to get really close to shore. I'm worried the extra long shaft may limit my ability to come closer to shore?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Re: Outboard motor regular shaft, sailpro or extra long shaft?

We use a dropdown outboard bracket for our kicker motor.

It also makes it handy for repairs and maintenance.
