Crew wanted for hazardous journey

Crew wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success.

Well, not quite that bad. I am taking my Sabre 34 from Rockland, Maine to St. Augustine, Florida and would love some help.
Currently in Rockland Maine awaiting traveling weather. Hoping to leave Sunday morning October 13. Will bump and hop down the East coast as conditions allow.

I like your selling points but could have added "12 strokes of the cat for minor infractions"
lol.
Would like to help if I was in country but all I can do is wish you luck for crew search & voyage.

The cat was out of service long before Shackleton apocryphally placed the ad.

I may be your guy. I singled handed my Beneteau First 42 from St Marys, GA to Philadelphia a couple of months ago and will be heading back south around the end of November. You have a way to get me back to Philly?

Off topic but im doing the same. Leaving RI and I was going to get a mooring for the winter at municipal marina. What is your plan when you get down there?

My hat is off to you sir. Only a man of true character would undertake such a journey. I hope to be so lucky-

Re: Crew wanted for hazardous journey

Good luck on the trip! I just completed the first half of your voyage (Rockland ME to St. Mary’s MD) two weeks ago and will be sailing the second half (St. Mary’s MD to St. Augustine FL) in the spring. I would join you but I would never hear the end of it from the family if I sail off again!

keep your hat on Sir,,, at 79, nothing really
scares me anymore,,,
Just saying, Solo, its an easy trip and you can
take your own time,,, unless of course you're in
a hurry, then sure, another crew is helpful.
Enjoy your trip south..

Re: Crew wanted for hazardous journey

Hope you get a weather window soon and get on your way. I think we may have communicated previously, I also have a Sabre 34.

My wife and I are waiting on a decent window to leave Barnegat NJ for points south ,

Send me a PM When you're on your way and perhaps we'll meet up on the route.

Fair winds

You Sir, are the one many of us have been looking for! Firstly on the Flicka 20, then Solo, then outside to Gawga......did you get by the Frying Pan Tower okay, and did you at least stop and fish for an hour or so to fill the cooler. The tower is at least 30+ miles off of the mouth of the Cape Fear River, so just wondering about your track from Moorehead down......how far offshore were you? I'm 63 and have always loved the Flicka, and I am certainly glad to see someone out there older than I still having a bit of fun! Best regards!

I don't know if this weekend is the one, unless you truly are looking for a truly hazardous journey! There is a pretty big spinner right off the coast up there that would certainly make for one hell of a ride!
