Hello from Ontario Canada

My wife and I currently sail our Aloha 32 around Lake Ontario. Getting prepped to take her south - well, after things open up again from Covid.

Welcome aboard Teliki. We started in Lake Superior, spent some time in Lake Ontario, and are now based in Newfoundland. You have a fine boat there. We have friends from Belleville who took their Aloha 32 down to the Bahamas recently.

That would be “the other Chris” as he referred to himself on the Aloha forum.
We had followed the travels of two other A32’s who headed to Newfoundland and on up to Greenland.

But it’s all just dreaming right now, until we can leave the house safely.

Yes, Chris and & Deb. Great people. We got to know them in Belleville. They've gone on to buy a larger boat now, but they did fine in their Aloha.

Ah Greenland ... we may aim for that next season. This season is going to be for exploring our immediate surrounds over the east side of The Rock.

Come on out. The cruising if amazing!

Re: Hello from Ontario Canada

Welcome Chris and Spouse!

I'm just down the road in self-isolation in the Beaches. ; ) One of my best friends is a member of Bluffers Park and is a snowbird who is flying home today "if they let us back in" as he said this morning. We frequently went to Highland's Dogfish Cafe after a spate of boatwork (that's the upstairs pub facing the Lake, right?)

My current best distraction is a walk along the Beaches boardwalk while social distancing and am in discussions with a good friend about starting some hull work on his Northern 29 before she splashes on May 13th.

When will Teliki be splashing? Best wishes and welcome,

Welcome to the forum, from another Canadian chris[emoji16]
We bought our boat on lake Ontario in whitby this past summer. We are a little farther south with it now, Bahamas, but might bring it back this summer if the health concerns get better.
Enjoy the lake this summer, it's a great sailing ground
