Traveling Caribbean with 2 cat’s on board

Hello,

This is a first for me. I have two beloved cats that will be living and sailing along with us as we try to do a circumnavigation obviously will take a few years to do so but as of now we are planning this year to do the Caribbean. What documents and shots do I need for my two cats before setting sail. Do they need a passport as well?

Been there done that. There is no single blanket answer as each country is different. Most, esp in Carib, could care less.

Some have strict regulations: like Caymans and Turks & Caicos...esp rabies free countries.

Some, like Bahamas, just take your money for the pet application and then never look or check.

Some, like Jamaica, dont care as long as the animals dont go ashore.

A surprising number of officials are afraid of cats. Dont know why.
