San Diego to San Carlos quick trip

Looking for someone to help me bring my boat from San Diego to San Carlos area. .
My plans of cruising Mex this winter changed and now I need to get down there asap and haul out.

If weather permits it will be a straight shot from ensenada to San Carlos. I am fully prepared to motor for 10 days straight if there is no wind. So this probably won't be good sailing experience for anyone.

No experience required,
Need to be in San Diego by October 28 and expect to arrive in San Carlos around Nov 9-14 +

The boat is dirty, disorganized and packed full of stuff , but I call her seaworthy . She has the basic cruising stuff, autopilot, radar, liferaft , watermaker ECT. She has a tiny little 50hp engine that will push us at about 5 knots .

Will provide food ,beer, and a pat on the back when we make it. Maybe a bus ticket to the nogales border.

Re: San Diego to San Carlos quick trip

I'm sorry I wasn't very clear - I was trying to point out that most (all?) insurance companies won't cover south of Ensenada on the pacific side and south of latitude 27 in the Sea of Cortez before Nov 1st. I had a lot of trouble finding insurance for our boat for the summer on the hard in Guaymas and cruising the sea in the fall/winter/spring. You will also need Mexican liability insurance if you are checking into marinas in San Carlos. Good luck with your journey.

Sounds like a great adventure. Wish I could. Love your honesty. I was on a boat in San Carlos this summer, but it was not what it was portrayed to be. Good luck.

Are you speaking of San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico?
You will need a TIP, insurance, visa.

Marinaseca requires insurance to get a dock or lifted out. Just so you know.
