Durbeck 46 Ketch Ready to Cruise

FOR SALE: $109,000.

Vessel has undergone extensive upgrades since 2002.
VESSEL LOCATION: Cambridge, Maryland USA
LENGTH: 46 FEET, 9 inches, on deck.
DRAFT: 4 FEET, 11 inches
CONSTRUCTION: Solid Fiberglass hull. Alternate layers of matt and roving. ½ inch at sheer and increasing to 1 inch on sides of keel. 2003 peeled and re-glassed. 10 ml Interlux 2000 vinylester barrier coat.
Fiberglass Decks, partially cored. Painted Awlgrip 2004
Vessel dry stored during winter months not cruising.
PORTHOLES: 10 Fuller Industries portholes provide ample light and ventilation. Blue water ready.
SPARS: Aluminum. Painted awlgrip. Re-wired 2004. Mast steps on main mast.
STANDING RIGGING: 3/8 Inch Type 316 1x19 Stainless wire. New 2004. Atlantic Spars and Rigging, Annapolis, MD. Chrome plated, bronze toggles/turnbuckles.
CHAINPLATES: Exterior thru-bolted. 304 stainless. New 2008.
DECK HATCHES/VENTS: 2 – 20” x 20” hatches. Forward hatch stainless. Aft hatch aluminum. Deck dorade vents stainless. New 2007 with stainless guard rails. Main hatch fitted with custom fiberglass “sea hood”.
PROPELLER/SHAFT: 3 Blade bronze, 20x13x3x1.5. Stainless steel 1.5 inch drive shaft. Shaft coupling new 2008.
AUX ENGINE: Ford Lehman 80 h.p. Diesel. Four cylinder. Good compression. Regularly serviced. Oil sample available.
FUEL CAPACITY: 175 U.S. Gallons. Fiberglass, integral tank. Copper supply lines. Primary and secondary filters. Fuel polishing pump fitted.
DOMESTIC WATER: 260 U.S. Gallons. Fiberglass, integral tank. Par 12 Volt diaphragm pump with Groco PST Series Pressure Storage Tank. Seagull IV water purification system fitted in galley for pure, healthy potable water.
12 Gallon, Raritan domestic Hot water heater. New heating element installed 2019. 120 volt AC or direct heat takeoff from engine cooling system.

GENERATOR: One, 30 kW Honda Generator in Deck Box. New 2017
STEERING SYSTEM: Hynautic H-20 Series Helm unit Hydraulic system. Raymarine Autohelm ST6000 autopilot. Emergency tiller.
MANUAL BILGE PUMPS: One, Whale Gusher Mark II, installed at helm station.
ELECTRIC BILGE PUMPS: Four electric bilge pumps. Two Rule 2000 and one Rule 4000 GPH. One Jabsco diaphragm bilge pump. One Atwood 750 in gray water sump could be used in emergency. High water alarm fitted.
DECK WASHDOWN PUMP: One deck raw-water, washdown pump and hose with spray nozzle. Located near anchor for ease of chain and anchor cleaning. Can be used in the event of fire.
MARINE SANITATION: Two heads. One fore, one aft. Forward head is a manual jabsco head fitted with one, 12 gallon seamless, roto-molded, polyethylene holding tank. Tank has deck pump out fitting as well as a manual discharge pump for offshore discharge. Tank is fully vented. New hoses 2019. Aft head is a pushbutton Jabsco electric head (new 2018) with direct discharge. Aft holding tank is present but not connected.
FIRE EXTNGUISHERS: Four ABC fire extinguishers are located through-out the boat. One halon portable extinguisher is located in the main cabin for use in the engine compartment.
GROUND TACKLE: One 45 # Delta plow anchor with 225’ of 3/8 chain. Handled with Maxwell anchor windlass. Foot switch on foredeck. Second anchor is 35# Danforth with 250’ of nylon rode.
GALLEY: Galley is fitted with a Princess three burner, propane stove/oven. Propane is stored in a vented deck-box in two (2) 20 # horizontal tanks equipped with solenoid. Double, deep stainless steel sink with single handle faucet with spray hose. Foot pump for use of salt or fresh water. Salt water rinse and cleanup is handy when offshore for fresh water conservation. Ample storage for pots and pans, plates and cups. Offshore strap for the chef is a nice safety feature.
REFRIGERATION: Moonraker has both a Climate Control (York), engine drive compressor and a Tecumseh 120 volt AC compressor source of refrigeration. Each are individually plumbed to common holding plates. There is a top loaded refrigerator cooled via holding plate and controlled by thermostat. There is also a large, family size, 4’ freezer that is also top loaded and cooled via holding plate and thermostat. Freezer is easily cooled to 10-15 degrees F, and the reefer is likewise easily cooled and normally set for 25 degrees F. Underway, the captain has the choice to run the engine drive unit or AC unit by running the generator. At the dock, with shore power, the AC unit is normally the unit of choice however the engine drive compressor is still an option.
LIVING AREA: V-Berth:
The vessel has a v-berth forward which sleeps two in separate or one combined bunk. Aft of v-berth is the forward head to starboard and a hanging/storage locker to port.
Main Salon:
Further aft is the main salon with storage cabinets and drawers to port, above a setee. To starboard is a main salon table with wings that folds up to seat 6. To starboard and outboard of the main salon is more storage in lockers and an L-shaped seating area that wraps around the salon table. Additional storage under seating. Aft of dining area is the navigation station to starboard, and the L-shaped galley to port. Navigation table is a large working station with storage under the table for charts, etc. Electrical breakers and navigational instruments and communication radios are all mounted for ease of use. Galley to port is complete for live-aboard operations. See Galley section for more details. Center aft is the companionway steps which lead up to the center cockpit.
Engine Room:
Aft of the nav table, to starboard, is a door leading to the walk in engine room. The engine room is complete with work bench with vise and storage for tools/spares, etc. Battery bank is located below work bench. Engine is located on centerline of vessel and has easy access from the engine room.
Walk-thru Hallway:
Aft of the galley to port is a walk thru hall leading to the aft cabin. A bunk to port is located in the hallway. Under the bunk is the large, top loaded freezer. To starboard of the hallway is the access panel to the port side of the engine and the microwave oven and electric coffee pot.
Aft Cabin:
The aft cabin has two single berths, port and starboard with storage and hanging locker for linens, clothes, etc. To starboard is the dry, aft head and separate stand up shower.
Total individual bunk accommodations for 5, not including the salon sitting area which can serve as a pilot berth (making accommodations for 6), as it and ALL bunks are fitted with lee-cloths, fans and reading lights.
AIR CONDITIONING: The vessel is cooled and heated with a 120 volt AC, 12,000 BTU, raw water cooled air conditioner with a reverse heat cycle. The air conditioner can be run off shore power or the Honda generator.
DECK GEAR: Two self-tailing genoa winches in cockpit.

One self-tailing winch on boom for main clew outhaul.
One winch on aft cabin deck for mainsheet
Three winches on mainmast for main halyard, jib halyard and genoa halyard, respectively.
Crane hoist on aft deck for lifting outboard engine and MOB emergencies

SAILS: All sails are MACK Sails, made in Stuart, Florida, new 2008 and are in like new condition.
Main, 4 Full batten. Stored in MACK PACK with lazy jacks for ease of handling.

Staysail, on Furl-X Roller Furler
Mizzen, 4 Full Batten. Stored in MACK PACK with lazy jacks for ease of handling.
DECK CANVAS: Center cockpit is protected by a canvas dodger and bimini-top, keeping the crew cool from the sun and dry while underway offshore.
Center cockpit has bench seating port and starboard. Each bench is approx.. 6 feet long and has a 2’ thick cockpit cushion. Each bench is long enough to allow most people to stretch out and sleep/rest.
Like new awning for fore-deck and main deck and a new awning for the aft deck protects almost the entire boat from the sun during those sunny days on anchor or at the dock.

these are magnificent heavy duty deep water sailing craft... i was fortunate enough to have seen one inside and out in point cadet marina after katrina...awesome things.
