Unable to update charts

I've been using OpenCPN 5.0.0 for awhile now, in the PNW. Works great! Then I decided to update my ENC charts since the ones I have are from NOAA dated 9-20-2018.

In the 'Chart Downloader Tab' I click on 'Update' and a few seconds later I get the pop-up box shown attached.


But I HAVE an internet connection to my laptop, albeit wireless. What is going on? Anybody know?

Sorry, I don't have my OpenCPN setup available right now. But I note your catalog points to an http address. When I use the address in my browser it works, but automatically gets re-directed to https. Maybe the catalog doesn't get the redirect to https? I'd try either editing the catalog properties (I think they are in OpenCPN.ini) or delete the catalog and grab it again.

Sorry I can't test for you, but I do suspect the http vs. https may be a problem - only a suspicion though.

I guess just for testing, try this link from your laptop, make sure you can reach it.

Thank you Dsanduril. I was not able to download charts over a wireless connection. Plugging in and configuring an ethernet cable did the trick! THEN, I very stupidly deleted my .ini file when attempting to delete my log file AND I did it while OCPN was running! So then I had to grab the catalog again from that website and download all the charts again.

Everything is working again. Thank you!
