46' Raymond Creekmore?

I am headed to look at this boat. It is a 2005 Raymond Creekmore. The price seems low for such a vessel. Any one have any experience or knowledge of this company? If we like it, we will be paying for a survey. What should I look out for initially? First boat for us.

This has home built/kit boat written all over it. Just looking at the pictures the owner can't even be bothered to clean out the garbage before showing it. If they can't do that, do you think they kept up with routine maintenance?

Also, with so much windage it looks like a motorsailor. Just my impression.

Re: 46' Raymond Creekmore?

Guess I'd have to question the 2005 vintage for this boat when Ray Creekmore passed in '84. Yes there is a 2002 currently on YW and that one is mostly finished.

If this is your first boat, do yourself a favor and get something smaller/ready to sail. You'll have more fun learning to sail than the steep learning curve to tackle a large unfinished boat.
