Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

The current iPad app isn’t able to connect . I receive an error ‘no feed’.
I’m logged in and I’ve tried quitting and then re-opening the app to no avail.
Please advise.

Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

Are you using a vpn? Sometimes a vpn can block an app
Writing this on my iPad Pro with vpn and latest app version and all iPad updates.
But yes I have seen this effect on occasion, it seems to magically clean itself up with a restart

Re: Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

Not using a VPN. All other apps including browsers work which is how I am posting now. Oh, a restart did no good either. Interestingly, this problem showed up with my iPhone app as well. Turning off WiFi and using just cellular doesn’t help either.

Re: Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

This is an ongoing random issue on random iOS devices. I have recently experienced it on two separate occasions on multiple iPads and iPhones. Does not make a difference if on wifi or on cell.

It usually clears up after a day.

I’m reading this on my iPad. The only issue I’m having is it won’t keep me logged in like it used to.

Re: Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

I always access the site via browser, Safari most typically, on my iPad or iPhone. I’ve never used the app. I’ve never had a problem with it loading on my browser. When I do have a loading problem with any app, I generally just close it down (via the swipe up maneuver) then reopen. That fixes it. Good luck.

I normally use a browser. Just tried the app, which used to work. Does not work anymore, as this post reports.

Using the app near Boston USA. Works. Possibly location dependent? And I did just upgrade IOS to the latest.

Re: Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

Well, another day later and the app seems to be working, at least on my iPhone. BTW, running most current iOS. I’m wagering the folks that run this had an issue with their authenticating servers. Maybe it is resolved. I hope so as I prefer the apps vs using a browser.
Cheers🥃

Another day, more inconsistencies. Today the iPad app isn’t able to connect to the server but my iPhone is. Both currently attempting using same wifi network. For giggles, I have tried using cellular on the iPad after restarting the app. Still no success.

Re: Problem w/Cruisers Forum iPad app

I noticed today a posting regarding that Cruisers Forum has recently gone to a secure browser, HTTPS. The note suggested that if you are having issues with the app, to delete the app and re-install. DONE. So far it’s working on the iPad. Hopefully this is the real solution...
