Gemini pedestal compass repair?

I tried the recommended Annapolis compass repair shop. They couldn't fix it.
I need a second opinion event if I have to send it far away.
I think Gemini is out of business. That doesn't mean it could not be fixed.
The problem is a recurrent annoying bubble in the dome and that the card is dislodged since they tried to fix it.
Help please.
Thank you

Re: Gemini pedestal compass repair?

I suggest simply buying a Ritchie. A compass is an expensive piece of kit, but completely essential.
When I bought a defective Danforth, the guy at the Danforth repair shop said, "Just return this and buy a Ritchie instead." I was blown away, but I took his advice.
Thousands of miles later, my two Ritchies are still working perfectly.

Hard to find people so honest...

My Airguide was shot as received with the boat so I bought an entry level Ritchie to replace. Mine is a small bracket setup not a bigger one at the helm.

In this case, I think OP needs to at least talk to Viking (not the other shop nearby) to see if this particular Gemini can be repaired as it seems to line up better with their service portfolio.
