Grenada Anchorages 2021

We’re looking for nice quiet calm long term anchorages in Grenada for this coming years hurricane season. We’ll be working our way south from the Ft Worth, FL area beginning March 2021.
I’ve read quite a bit and a lot of the info is years old. It seems there’s quite a cruisers net in Grenada I just can’t find reliable info on where to anchor out for a few months.
We’re in a 36’ Cape Dory with a draft of 5’-5.5’ depending on how much we stuff into the boat.
Our favorite anchorages are where we’re mostly alone. We’re not into the bar and restaurant scene but do enjoy meeting new people on the water as we move around.
Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Grenada Anchorages 2021

You are not going to find many, if any, anchorages where you will be alone. Grenada is such a popular spot that there are lots of boats just about everywhere. Most popular anchorages are the bays on the south shore. Those further west are closer to town so you have get to shopping and activities more easily. Further east there are fewer boats but you are still far from alone. You can anchor along the lee shore just about anywhere but in some spots have limited shore access. Also it is important to remember that the number of boats goes way up during hurricane season.

Re: Grenada Anchorages 2021

I would recommend joining the Grenada FB group so you can stay up on the current travel restrictions.

We had reservations to store our boat, again, through hurricane season. However we sailed back to the USA because of the uncertainty about travel restrictions.

This coming season may be better, or not. AFAIK Trinidad is still locked down hard. The situation is not stable.

Re: Grenada Anchorages 2021

Thanks, I found and joined the FB group.
I can drop anchor somewhere and wait out the crazy if necessary.
