New catamaran brand to be announced in September

https://www.multicoques-mag.com/actu...e-de-catamaran

The stern looks very "Barreau-esque" to me (designer of the TSs and many other cats)

Wouldn't be surprised if it is from a big existing (mono) yard, any bet on which one ?

Which of the big european brands doesn't build cats?
Bavaria owns Nautitec, Groupe Benneteau Lagoon and Excess, Hanse Privilege.
Are there other big player in the production mono world that I forgot?

Swan, X-yachts? Looks like performance hulls which would suit these two.

Maybe Grand soleil ? Dufour ?
(in fact Dufour is owned by Fountaine Pajot now apparently, and was previously owned by Grand Soleil, but could be a new performance brand by FP.

58 foot cat with a weight of 11.3T and it will sleep 8?

They should have posted nothing because that's basically what this is.

In French there:

"Le mystère devrait être levé tout début octobre."

"The mystery should be lifted at the beginning of October."

Dufour had the 48 which I think got railroaded with the FP takeover but maybe its linked into that, a sportier performance brand.

Will be interesting to see, don't think it can be Hanse not sure having another premium band fits as would undermine Privileged, that aside I can never understand why Hanse has not launched a more mass market cat offering as they are missing a huge segment of the market that is core within their mono line.

Yes, good question. Also, throughout their history, they have revealed new sailing monohull models pretty much yearly, but now it has been two years since the 508 appeared.

Guess that light boat will be Outremer's next size.

X-Yachts has just recently launched their power boat range (I asked "why oh why?" to the CEO and he said, obviously, that's what people want these days. Only way to survive.) So I would suspect this cat won't be coming out of the X shipyard, might be an overstretch.

One more link:

https://www.pressmare.it/en/media/co...l-brand-27757?

The new brand is apparently 'sensational' and the hull designed by an 'internationally renowned French naval architecture firm' (which could be VPLP).

No more twin helms? Oh the humanities.

Not a new brand though.

Re: New catamaran brand to be announced in September

Why did the previous tease say it was 58 feet then? You sure this is the same boat they were marketing?
