Cal Cruising 46 SATORI

After 38 years of loving our wonderful Cal 46 SATORI, we must sell her due to age (82) & health challenges. We lived aboard full time and cruised from 1988 to 2004. She is docked at our personal dock by our home in Bayou Chico, Pensacola, Florida.

I am working on my website https//cal46satori.com/ completing the updated inventory. I am willing to negotiate price based on updating electronics, paint job, etc. eg. She was painted in 1998. I just got a quote from the same painter for $10,500. I will reduce asking price by that amount or have the paint job done for the buyer.

Under process- https//cal46satori.com//

Asking price is $149,000

Ahh, Tom, old mate...

Sorry to hear this, but it comes to us all in time and I fear the day when it comes to me. I look back on those distant days in the SOC and the many happy hours on Satori and Insatiable with such fondness.

Good luck with the sale and I hope Satori finds a new home with someone who will love her like you guys did.

Jim

Hi Tom,

Wondering who did your paint job. We're in Gulf Shores and will be looking into that relatively soon and you were obviously satisfied with the paint job.

Best of luck finding someone that will cherish her as much as y'all.

Re: Cal Cruising 46 SATORI

Hi, There are some very competent boat painters whose business is at Pensacola Shipyard. Sue and Eric did my last paint in 1998. Perdido Sailor also does excellent work. Both are booked up for months. It would be best for you to make an appointment with them or call me, come over and let's talk. PM for #'s

Price REDUCED. I am not able to have the scheduled paint job done. Price quoted for hull, house and trim was $12,500 Plus deck non-skid +++. So we are reducing our price by $20,000. New asking price is $129,000 PM for more details

Re: Cal Cruising 46 SATORI

No damage from Hurricane Sally last week! I built my own dock about 20 years ago and rode out Hurricane Ivan in 2004 aboard Satori, except a minor scrape from a #@!^^ who anchored his 43' SF on a 22# anchor. I sued, but he declared bankruptcy.

I reinforced mt dock with more 25' pilings, sistered and huge timbers from a sunken barge through bolted on each side. I use 3/4" nylon 3 strand bow, stern and spring lines that have the piling end in 1" heavy duty reinforced plastic hose that has parrel rollers I cut from electrical grade PVC. That way as the storm tide raises my boat, (10 1/2 feet above mean high tide during Ivan) the mooring lines roll up the piling.

Hey, Tom, glad to hear no damage from Sally. Sounds like you worked out a really good way to protect the boat. Good on ya.

Best to you and Bobby.

She’s lovely. Best of luck, if only we weren’t still a few years (and lots of experience!) away from a possible purchase.

Come and visit us in Pensacola, FL. We have a guest cottage about 50 feet from Satori.
Let's talk about how to gain experience and whatever is on your mind.

Re: Cal Cruising 46 SATORI

Due to my arthritis I can't do much hand work. I had intended to replace the inside & outside VHF's with new Icoms $650 each, plus add a new Garmins GPS Map $900

So I am reducing the price $3,000 to $126,000

Please PM for info &/or address
