Wanted Surveyor in Northern Croatia

I'm looking for an English Speaking Surveyor in Northern Croatia to Survey a second hand 40+ ft yacht. The boat is based in the ACI Marina Opatija near to the Slovenia border.

The offer will be subject to the Covid-19 crisis lifting travel restrictions etc.
Also Subject to a successful Sea trial and Successful Survey covering hull, rigging and mechanical.

Any tips or recommendations would be most welcome.

Hallo Kasia! I faced the same issue just a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, Croatia seems to be quite a bit of a white spot when it comes to Marine Surveyors - especially Yachts and small Craft Surveyors.

I finally ended up with the guys from "Wind Service", Lignano and they have done a quite good job for me.

I'd also recommend you to simply check out marinesurveyors24.com and have a look at their map search. They have a number of surveyors listed in nearby northern Italy and also Rijeka or Krk.

I have found a few options in Croatia, however we have not yet decided which one to select. What's pretty weird is the price difference between the quotations, they range from 350 to 1600 euro for the same boat, same service. Also some of them (even the expensive ones) say that they inspect the mast with binoculars - which I thought was fairly strange.
How much was your survey and for what boat if I may ask?
