Beneteau 343

Hi all,

I'm considering buying a second hand (2005) 343 as our first sailing yacht. Any advise would be very welcome.

Ok, has anyone got one that they could shed some light on how she handles and does she slam in choppy conditions?

They sail okay.. like most with that hull shape she will slam some going to windwards.

Thanks, I want to move away from motor boats that slam in 3 foot waves but not into the same thing with a yacht!

I have one which I sail out of Long Beach, CA. Compared to a power boat, she is mellow. I rarely get slammed.

Thanks guys. I'm also considering a Bavaria 33 cruiser, which is best, this or the Oceans 343?

Re: Beneteau 343

To be honest I have never been on a Bavaria 33, but the transom setup on the Bavaria looks nice.
