Customs Status at Walker Cay or Rosie's?? N Abaco

I'm going to be cruising directly to North Abacos from Ft Pierce and am wondering about the status of the customs office at Walker Cay. I've heard some say it's open part time and others say go to Rosie's on Grand cuz that's where the customs guys hang out. Anyone have recent info on the best customs options for North Abacos?

I cleared in at Rosie’s place in March. Very painless, went into the restaurant/bar. The lady there called customs/immigration, had a beer while I waited about 15 minutes for them to arrive. Took about an hour, that includes the dinghy ride in.
I believe if you clear in at Spanish Cay there’s an additional charge of $100, might be wrong though.

We checked at West End..very friendly..even waited for us after their normal hours when we arrived..

FYI..much easier to check into the Bahamas then than it is to recheck back into the US as we’re finding out..

I cleared at Grand on Christmas Eve , Rosie’s called the customs guy and he showed in a golf cart, I mentioned I was hurrying to get there before Christmas Day and he said,no problem, customs is open every day. The stamp is Walkers.

Greetings,
I'll be entering the northern Bahamas by sailboat in a week or so. Is Little Grand still a port of entry for customs clear-in?
Thanks.

Re: Customs Status at Walker Cay or Rosie's?? N Abaco

I'm in the Abacos now and will need to check out this week before heading to north Florida. Looks like the most convenient place customs office is Spanish Cay. Neither Little Grand NM or Walkers are on their current list.
Safe travels,
Jess

The government website is not even close to being accurate. You can clear in, or out at Grand Cay. You may have to walk up to the building located near the cell tower. The other option is Green Turtle Cay.

We cleared both into and out of the Bahamas at Spanish Cay. Worked well.
