Passage distances and ports between Puerto Rico and Georgetown, Bahamas

I'd like information on ports between Puerto Rico and Georgetown, Exumas. Planning to transit offshore from New England to Antigua this fall with experienced crew. Wife and I plan to sail home slowly over the winter but prefer short day sails. If anybody has done the trip and can contribute information your input will be appreciated. Interested especially in Mona Passage.

Do you have a specific question? Have you done any passage planning for this route? Consulted any cruising guides? Any places you want to visit? What kinds of places do you like? What do you want to avoid? Do you prefer town life? Or the uninhabited islands?

And why would you want to go to Georgetown anyway? It's one of the very few places in the Bahamas we have been that we avoid if at all possible. It's crowded, noisy, and has an atmosphere rather like a continuous "Spring Break."
