Morgan 416 OI Transducer

We recently purchased a Morgan 416 OI and are in need of some transducer advice. She is currently on the hard. The hull angle is 33* and the transducers that work with that angle are ridiculously expensive. There is a flat spot on the front of the keel. (please see pictures) Is it ok to place a transducer here or would it be too much turbulence. Any suggestions? Is this flat area designed for blocking on the hard? Or would it be ok to place the transducer here? We are reaching out to the experts as this is new territory for us. Unfortunately we are unable to find a transducer that fits the current faring block. Thank you in advance!

My memory is: That was the intended purpose of that area.

Re: Morgan 416 OI Transducer

Blocking should be at the strong points usually at the buck heads. That spot should be fine for the transducer if the inside is clear.
