2001 410 range?

Hi
Iím looking at a 410 with 27hp yanmar engines in it.
What size are factory fuel tanks?
And what range should I expect?
Thanks in advance...

Re: 2001 410 range?

I don’t have a Cat, but range is going to vary widely. Based on one engine or two running and if your in a hurry or not and winds / waves.
You can easily double range by slowing down and heavy winds and waves can easily cut it in half.
Fuel tank size wise, you ought to find that on sailboat data, and it could vary by year, but I am not at all familiar with Lagoon Cats.

A Sea Raay 410 has a range of about 240 miles...... or 100 miles with the hammer down

I have a different lagoon.(42tpi) with the 27hp, although a little older. I count on 2.4 litres per hour per engine at 2800 rpm.
Your owners manual should have tank size, or hopefully this link works

Looks like 100 litres per tank, giving you around 40 hours per tank. I would recomend tracking hours used and fuel used. It won't take long to track. It's good practice as well.

so if these stats are right the boat should do about 5 knots on one motor depending on prop, barnacles etc - at about 2200 rpm and around 2.5lph so 200/2.5*5= range approx of 400 miles on one motor in calm conditions.

Re: 2001 410 range?

we have L400 and 400 L total tankage but with 1600 rpm, minimal recommended long range rpm, we do 4.5 kn with 1 engine fully loaded and burn 1.3L/h.

So this gives in calm conditions at 4.5 kn range for ours 400/1.3*4.5 = 1384 nm.

Imagine for L410 this would be half or so ~ 700 nm.

At 5 kn, we can get to 1000 nm, so for L410 probably 500 nm or bit more as it is bit lighter .

Thank you, that helps.

Re: 2001 410 range?

Its been a few years since we sold our 410 but IIRC we planned for a range of 600nm (in dead calm doing 4.5-5kn, running only one engine).

Tankage was 100 liter per engine (1999 model with 3gm30 Yanmars)
