LAGOON 380 S2 PAPEETISE

This cat will be available in the second half of 2009 in French Polynesia, first in the Tuamotu, then in Tahiti.
It is "papeetised", which means it is allowed to remain there without any additional taxes or administrative requests, whatever the nationality of the owner and "forever".
During the cyclonic season, owners either sail to the Marquesas/Gambier, or remain there ... watching the weather forecasts, or haul out in either the Tuamotu or Tahiti or Raiatea close to Bora Bora.
I use the cat with my wife in full autonomy during ~6 months/year.
Every equipment is perfectly functioning.
We bought it after having visited ~10 similar cats ... and would not have bought any of them whatever the price: there are very few good occasions in French Polynesia.

The rules here require a price. Also you say it will be available in 2009. Oops.

Re: LAGOON 380 S2 PAPEETISE

Sorry, I forgot to specify I propose it for 170 000 € and it will be available in the second half of 2019 (sorry for the mistake) when I will retreive it (hauled out at the moment).
However, I would like to add more info, hence to edit my post but do not find "the Edit button"!
Please, could you help?
Many thanks in advance

You can only edit for about 30 minutes then it's permanent. Just add your new details in a new post.

Re: LAGOON 380 S2 PAPEETISE

Let me specify first and if necessary that, at least according to me and my experience during an 8-year round he world trip via the tropics and the Sea of Cortez, French Polynesia is by far the most pleasant area, either for sailing or remaining at the anchor, I visited. There are plenty of relatively wild places while being not too far from a market, a doctor or an airport, and you can live on your own, fishing most of your food while fresh water from rain is largely sufficient.

This boat has the specificity of being "papeetised", which means that it has a French flag and is registered in French Polynesia. This allows the owner to remain “for ever” in French Polynesia, and eventually sell the boat here, without any additional taxes and administrative problems.

The boat is presently in the Tuamotu, from where you can easily sail to either the Marquesas or the Gambier if you want to be fully safe during the cyclonic season. Obviously, you can also remain there or in the Iles sous le Vent, watching the weather forecasts … and crossing your fingers. More generally, and this is what we have been doing for years now, you can hall out very safely in either the Marquesas (Nuku Hiva) or the Tuamotu (Apataki) or Tahiti or Raiatea close to Bora Bora.

The boat is very well maintained (all equipment is perfectly functioning) with, in particular, sails in very good conditions, a hydraulic auto pilot, a 25-kg Rocna anchor in addition to two other ones, numerous docking lines and fenders, GPS’s and Raymarine wind instruments, safety devices for 10 persons, a 2017 life raft for 6 persons, etc.. As for living on board, and in particular, the fridge+stove+oven were changed in 2016 and I added a new 2nd fridge, a spinnaker, a scuba tank, a dinghy engine of 2.5 CV, solar panels for a total of 530 W that I installed on a fully adjustable support with a Morning Star TS-45MPPT regulator connected to gel batteries for a total of 460 Ah, the 2x29 CV Yanmar engines having new 100 Ah batteries possibly connected to the service ones, a 2 kW converter, a rain water recovery system that, together with a ceramic filter, largely provides enough water for two persons (my wife and I are leaving on board 6 moths/yr in total autonomy), a 3-m dinghy “Optimist-like” that I built in wood+fiberglass and equipped with oars and sails that appear very efficient for troll fishing (I also have crab baskets working efficiently in some places), etc. I leave numerous electric and manual tools, products, etc.

Let me finally specify that there are very few offers of such catas in French Polynesia. I visited ~10 of them and would not have bought any, whatever their price.

More info upon request!

Re: LAGOON 380 S2 PAPEETISE

Hello,
The boat is still available and presently hauled out in Apataki in the Tuamotu, as every year during the cyclonic season. We will retrieve it from mid-May and plan to sail there till September-October before eventually sailing to Tahiti where it could be hauled out again from mid-November. Visits can be arranged anywhere at any time.
