Re: Will blisters be noticeable after couple years dry storage?
It’s hard to say if you will see blisters after the hull has dried out. If it was me I’d hammer sound the hull. Get the smallest ball peen (some use hard plastic) hammer at the hardware store. ...

Our last boat had a Universal M35B that used the same lift pump. It was wired to run all the time, but the leads ran through the oil pressure sender. If oil pressure was lost, power to the lift...

Re: Electric Winch Motor Enclosure? - Catalina 400mkII
If it was me, I'd look into a padded fabric cover held in place with snaps or velcro. If the goal is to visually cover the winch and provide head knock protection it may work. Do you have a work...

This is what I believe to be true. On the Catalina 30 model, boats made before 1987 had plywood between the laminates under the keel bolts. After many years the plywood compressed or saturated...

Re: What is this button on my force 10?
As I recall it's the gimbal lock. The crossbar lifts to unlock and open the oven door and this button disconnects the gimbal allowing the unit to heel with the boat.
I’ll confirm during a boat...

Doug,
I think you are on the right track. We don't sail too much between about now and March so I run some antifreeze through the engine. For the reasons mentioned I leave our water tanks alone...

Our 36 is a later model but I suspect the keel bolts, washers, ect. are the same.
The keel bolts are all the same size...
