Re: Mold - how to prevent it?

I was told over at the Sailnet forums that mold is a myth and doesn't exist on boats.

Needless to say, I think I'm done with that group over there. :)

Re: Cleaning inflatable

I know this is a super old thread... But I almost messed up my dinghy listening to some of the advice here and thought I would warn others.

"The problem is that there is so much misinformation...

Hosting?

My wife and I traveled for 5 years in a motorhome and did our share of "campground hosting" where we exchanged work for a camp space.

Are there any such things for marinas? We are fulltime...

Re: Pearson 30 Bimini

Great video, but that is so far beyond my still level. When I get to the Keys, I'll check around and see if I can get one made without paying a premium price.

After all of this, I actually went with a Pearson 30. I did extensive research and most people consider this one of the best sailboats ever made for the money.

I take delivery the first week of...

I can't seem to find anyone who sells Bimini Tops or Cowls for the Pearson 30. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: America's Great Loop

When there is talk about Tonnage and licensing... Are they talking about hull displacement?

For example, would this mean that a displacement of 96000lbs would not require a 100T license for...

Re: America's Great Loop

Thank you. I am really impressed with the way they look inside. I guess I don't have to worry about 30-40 years old boats as I would not be considering a boat older than 10 years old.

Another...

I have been looking at the brand "Grand Banks"; I am very impressed with what appears to be well thought out construction and elegance of design. Is this a popular manufacturer?
