3 years ago we bought 2 x large fiddle blocks with snap shackles from Garhauer. The snap shackles attached to these blocks were Ronstan. When exposed to saline air the blocks rusted within 3 weeks!...

I have had a Genoa and main made by Rolly Tasker. Both I had to return. The Genoa was the wrong size and the stitching on the main was intermittently missing. Lucky I was in Phuket at the time!

I would suggest the spline key was not installed. That would allow the nut with whole assembly to unscrew and the complete prop fall off.

We were told the same by the chief of the Mallorca Immigration. Will test it.
2 years ago we over stayed 2 month, were checked by the coast guard in Italy and Spain a few times, no problems!

Another only part success. The lid is worn again, JB Weld partially peeled off.
This time I sanded the lid until flat. The pump body repair appears to be still ok.
Will report back if body repair...

A fridge mechanic fitted one of these bolt on taps, no welding. I was able to re-gas the fridge, 6 month later still all good.

It is not hard to see that it is a bad design. Just look at it. Its not rocket science.
I have used the anchor for 5 years, 30 000nm, full time live aboard, no marinas.
