Re: 2020/2021 Plans for East Coast US Cruisers

Re: US / Canada border restrictions predictions...

I'm glad to see that somebody has a good public health plan. The U.S. doesn't have the patience to follow through on anything.

Re: Florida to Exumas feedback needed

I found the Highbourne Cay Marina to be a good stop for diesel and water. There isn't much else in the northern Exumas.

Re: Electric Car Economics

The only new EPA regulations are ones that relax previous regulations. I know this for a fact but can't explain much more lest I would be unemployed.

Re: Help me (please) plan my Bahamas Cruise!

Based on my limited experience, the ideas above regarding the land and sea park and Waderick Wells are excellent. As mentioned, you need to radio ahead the day before to get reservations for a...

Re: Help me (please) plan my Bahamas Cruise!

I agree with Mystic 38. There are lots of spectacular and secluded anchorages in the Exumas.

Re: Exumas instead of Abacos

The Exuma Cays were my second charter, after one in the BVIs. Both were in monos.
They didn't seem that difficult except for more reefs to watch out for. The Exuma Cays did seem much more remote...

Re: Grenadines: Places You Didn't Like and Why

All I can say is that I made sure to find a sandy patch to drop the hook, and didn't drag. I was on the Clifton Harbor side of the bay. It sound like you were closer to Happy Island if there was a...

Re: Grenadines: Places You Didn't Like and Why

I personally did not find anchoring at Clifton to be at all bad. Some of the boat boys will try to get you to use mooring so they can get a cut. Anchoring is free. One of them tried to park their...

Re: Grenadines: Places You Didn't Like and Why

I didn't really appreciate Clifton, but had to stop to clear customs. It is a good place to get cash from the ATM and provisions. We were told by several sources not to overnight at Clifton. ...

All good suggestions above. I also suggest the the Bahama Exuma Cays. Plenty of charter boats are available out of Nassau, which is easy to fly into. Some charter boats are located on the...
