Bumpy Teak

As I prepare to re-finish the teak on our boat, I've come across a few places with fairly noticable bumps in the wood, as if the softer grain wore down but the harder did not. Is there any way to fix...

Re: In Mast Furler Problems

Hello all,

Thanks for the replies. When I try to unfurl the sail it does not move at all. I can access the motor and the whole base of the furler assembly from the access panels and will be...

Re: In Mast Furler Problems

This is the best lead I've had so far by a long shot! For some reason Google wasn't helping by searching Stoway. I'll be checking out these guys for sure!

Also, to amplify, the motor does energize when the switch is actuated, it just doesn't move the sail. It almost seems like it isn't strong enough to overcome whatever force is holding the furler in...

In Mast Furler Problems

The boat I recently bought has in-mast furling for the main. This is a first for me. The boat was bought in as-is condition, and the PO is unable to help with any issues.

The Furler is driven by...

Re: Closing Seacocks

Probably a better place to keep it than in the ignition like some boats I've seen....

I personally am a big fan of checklists and/or habit based routines. Maybe from my aviation background. Some...

Re: Closing Seacocks

This is probably one of the questions where you could ask 50 different boaters and get 50 different answers... Personally I would rather keep up on though-hull and hose maintenance, combined with...

Re: Wheel conversion

The Jefa product is the only such product I've ever come across. Is it possible the one you saw was custom? Such a concept could be fabricated on a one-off basis, if you're handy with fiberglass and...

Phone Compatible Tank Monitors

Hello all,

First off, greetings from a long-time forum reader but a first-time poster. I imagine my newest project will have me on the forums quite a bit in the upcoming months.
