Re: Cruising Hawaii in the Winter

Boating in Hawaii should be amazing, but in fact it can be very difficult. The fact that most of the marinas are run (mismanaged) by the state is a big part of it. Take a quick walk through the most...

Re: May 2015 Giveaway: OceanPlanet Batteries

As I am considering ditching my diesel engine and doing an electric motor conversion, something like this would do nicely.

Following with interest. I am teasing with the idea of switching to a catamaran similar to what you are looking for.

Re: Perkins 4.108 help

Ended up just sailing home. Now that I'm back I'm going to let a proper mechanic figure it out. I'll update with what we find out.

Re: Perkins 4.108 help

Perkins 4.108 help

I can't seem to figure this out, and haven't been able to find a local mechanic to come take a look.

Engine won't start, won't even turn over, so we think it might be hydro-locked. I pulled the...

Re: Backing into a slip - tips, tricks, recommendations?

I generally prefer not to back in due to boat design, slip layout, and privacy. When I must, I usually back all the way in, starting in reverse from the beginning rather turning around at the slip. I...
