We used to have a Sea Doo Jet Boat, a Sportster with single 85HP two stroke Rotax. It Was 14ft fibreglass and carried 4 people on the plane.

It was not particularly fast, less than 30 knots.

MAy be a check valve in the hose to the water maker pump. This will stop the wash down pump sucking the watermaker feed pump dry, particularly if it is not a self priming pump.

7 Days is a short window. Whilst normally the seas in this area would be easily negotiated by a 43ft power cat at this time of year. You are picking a 7 day window to travel 80 odd miles and return....

Our E120 was playing up and we sent the whole unit in to Raymarine repair facility, they fixed it for $250 and it worked fine after that. This was in 2017 in USA....

As a side note in post #8 the block is attached with a bungy/shock cord strop, this allows up and down movement and the springy tension removes slop. Post #11 has the block attached to the support...
