Re: Prices coming down?

Couple things. We don't print money on paper anymore just push a button. I don't even remember when I handled paper money last time. Second as long as the US dollar is the world's reserve currency,...

Re: Sailing in Times of Covid

Don't waste your time. Some here are so consumed with politics, they don't even believe in facts or science. They're just trying to push a failed political agenda. This thread got out of hand and has...

Re: 2020, Surveys, Covid, Trying to Shop

Getting a boat transatlantic is still possible and the delivery guys in Europe have that market since they can get into the US - but we canít get into Europe. The bigger obstacle is getting YOU into...

Re: 2020, Surveys, Covid, Trying to Shop

To start with buying a boat in the US now is a terrible idea. Prices are very high for the same boats compared to Europe even though US dollar lost value in that last 2-3 weeks. There is a lot of...

To be honest I did not but I always respect and admire long distance solo sailors. All I did solo was couple overnight passages.

Re: The great multi vs mono debate

Try that beaching with a big boat anywhere on the Med where there are no tides or any wide open public beaches for that matter and it'll be the last time you'll beach/ground.

Re: Sailing in Times of Covid

Who said being a solo sailor is stupid? I sailed solo for hundreds of miles. You better find a better excuse to be stupid or uneducated like not wearing a mask during pandemic.

Re: Sailing in Times of Covid

You must be leaving in a vacuum so nobody can tell you what to do. Even get an insurance for your boat or get a drivers license to drive. It's all in the name of freedom right?

Jeanneau SO 479 or SO 440.

After owning mostly performance cruisers, I have a chance to buy a well equipped 2017 SO 379 or a similarly equipped New SO 440. Both boats are in Europe and will be sailed in the Med under USCG...

Re: The great multi vs mono debate

Don't want to beat the dead horse once more but I'll add my 2 cents. If you are cruising primarily in shallow waters and staying anchored a lot and doing downwind sailing a lot (Caribbean, Bahamas,...

Re: New Seawind Model - Announcement July 10

So if you take delivery in Vietnam your invoice would have been $32500 less? In that case for some who wants to sail home taking delivery ex factory makes a lot of sense.

Re: Buying a boat on the other side of the world

Have you ever compared boat prices in Europe to US? You are mistaken big time. US with uneducated buyers and a ton of money floating around is the worst place to buy a production boat.
