Re: OpenCPN Plugin API Documentation / Routes

Pavel,
I tried setting this value (m_IsVisible) to both true and false.
For a route, neither waypoint name showed.
For a single waypoint, the waypoint name always showed.
It doesn't appear to...

Re: OpenCPN Plugin API Documentation / Routes

Thanks Pavel, I figured that might be the case.

In the past hour I've played around with it and been able to add some waypoints, and add a route (though waypoint names are by default not...

Re: OpenCPN Plugin API Documentation / Routes

Good point.
I forgot that I'm using OCPN for the navigation of objects OTHER THAN ownship...
I guess this functionality doesn't really make sense to exist.

I could say it is for route...

OpenCPN Plugin API Documentation / Routes

Is there anywhere with detailed documentation regarding the functions made available to OpenCPN plugins ?

I'm interested in being able to live plot a route.
A proof of concept that I would...

Re: Missing cairo.h and expat.h

Thanks Paul.

I'll give this a shot tomorrow.
(I have to do the sourceforge d/l at home, as it is blocked at work).

Re: Missing cairo.h and expat.h

Thanks for the quick response.

I failed to mention that I am compiling on Windows.
Any suggestions for fixing this error on Windows compilation ?

Thanks,
Chandler

Missing cairo.h and expat.h

I've tried building the latest code from git, and get several errors due to missing cairo.h and one about expat.h

Is there something additional I need to have installed ?

I'm building in...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Dave,

I tried the latest build from Github, and it worked !
No jumps on right click, regardless of OpenGL setting.
My plugin now grabs the correct value.

Thanks for looking into this...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

I have not tried different mice, but based on your suggestion, I opened up the context menu with the keyboard key.
The values still jump.

I can leave the mouse in place, and alternate between...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

I was able to get 1108 built before leaving.
I tested it, and still see the same issue.

OpenGL checked, no problems.

OpenGL unchecked, coordinates shift on right-click.

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Dave,
I saw the value shift in all versions I tested, including 4.1.1022.
(I misspoke in a previous post stating I tested 1108...it was actually 1022.)
I am on Windows 7 x64.

I'll get...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Dave,

It is grabbing the values that are displayed in the status bar.
Once the context menu is pulled up, these values do not change.
I confirmed that my plugin grabs these values...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Thanks Dave.
Glad to know I'm not the only one seeing the issue.

I should be able to build from the git repo.

I'm not explicitly catching the right click event.
I'm adding a context menu...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Thank you hoolie and Cagney for confirming it works fine on your end.
I'm using Win7 x64.
I tried out 3.2.2, 4.0.0, 4.1.602, and my built version of 4.1.1108.
All versions exhibit this behavior on...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear.
When I said "Is there a way to grab the correct values from within a plugin ?", I should have emphasized CORRECT.

I am able to copy the cursor lat and lon in my...

Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

I am working on a plugin that needs to use the current cursor lat and lon.
The idea is to be able to right-click and choose a menu item, which then sends a message out with the coordinates.
I have...

Re: OpenCPN Plugin Compilation issue

Thank you both for the info.

I had built with the solution due to an issue with the command line build.
I was missing windows.h, which I've been...

Re: OpenCPN Plugin Compilation issue

Hi Pavel,
4.1.1022 code from Github.
wx 3.0.2

OpenCPN appears to build fine.
It is just the Plugins that are inflated.

I did get an error (couldn't include windows.h) when building wx from...

Re: OpenCPN Plugin Compilation issue

Thanks for the quick response.
The larger file size is the release version.
I've built the debug as well, and it is twice the size.
Debug - ~7.5mb
Release - ~3.5mb
Installer version - ~0.5mb
