Re: Gluing wood to Fiberglass?

I managed to use epoxy in three corners. The fourth corner curves down to much for the wood piece to make solid contact. I'm wondering how thick I can get the epoxy or some other filler and just...

Re: Gluing wood to Fiberglass?

I think there is a slight curve to the ceiling under the headliner so I will try the slicing technique. The glass is pretty thin in that area so I don't think I can tack it, but clamps should work...

Gluing wood to Fiberglass?

Hi all,
I purchased a seabreeze roller shade/screen for an overhead hatch.
The problem is that the old trim kit did not extend very far. The new screw holes for the shade/screen are located out...

Re: Furling very difficult

Great suggestions. I would have never thought to head downwind.
I knew I was doing something wrong :)
Couple more questions..
Does it furl any easier on one tack vs another? Furling lines run on...

Re: Furling very difficult

The furling line of the Genoa leads to a block on the starboard bow (it's a cat) then straight back to the cockpit. The screacher furling line simply wraps around one of the pulpit stanchions on the...

I'm having a very hard time furling both the Genoa or screacher on my Gemini 105Mc. (Im new to the boat and new to sailing)
The Genoa sits on a Furlex 200s and the screecher is on a simpler little...

Re: Would love to hear the cons and pros of ALUMINIUM vs FIBERGLASS catamaran Sailboa

I'm pretty sure aluminum will be both lighter and stronger than fiberglass but at a higher cost. My experience is with aluminum power boats though so it may not apply to sail boats.

Re: Gemini Yahoo user group

There is an owners group called Gemini Gems that cost $40 to join. Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it worth the cost?

Re: Gemini Yahoo user group

Thanks Valhalla, I'll try those suggestions.
I can see there is lots of really good information but I'm having a hard time finding and sorting as well as the wonky way it displays threads. I'm sure...

semi urgent help with Gemini drive leg

I have just purchased a 2011 Gemini 105MC and was well aware of the issue with the drive leg popping up when in reverse.
In fact, on the test sail the broker demonstrated how to properly lube the...

Re: Gemini Yahoo user group

It's so bad that I posted a question yesterday and have no way of finding if I received a reply or not. I can't even find my original post. I know that there is a way to do it, but it should be much...

Gemini Yahoo user group

As a Gemini 105MC owner, I've joined the group but I find the Yahoo Groups interface to be absolutely terrible. It really takes away from the usefulness of an otherwise good group.

Re: Gemini 105 enclosure

Thanks for the tip. I think the cross section would get in the way when the enclosure is not up.

Re: Gemini 105 enclosure

From the corners yes, but none from the back as you can see in this picture:

So strata glass is worth the extra cost?

Re: Gemini 105 enclosure

I should mention the boat will be kept in the North Channel and I'll be doing weekends and a few weeks in the summer.
I think what WG said applies to me as well. I could use the enclosure to extend...

Hi all,
I'm a new owner of 2011 Gemini 105MC and I'm looking at getting a cockpit enclosure for it since this boat never had one.

Has anyone had this done? I'm not sure if I should just contact a...
