Re: B&G "PC Interface"

Our 2013 Beneteau Oceanis 41 came with such a USB Type B interface. It was connected to an NMEA-2000 - USB interface. You would need software to use it for NMEA-2000 troubleshooting. I have never...

Re: Proper shore power "float" voltage for live aboard?

HeywoodJ, thanks for this contribution. Obviously, that is not how we like to operate batteries on our boat, but this is interesting data!
For clarification: Are you saying the capacity loss at 50%...

Re: help - plywood adhesive

Our Beneteau uses a combination of "Dual Lock Reclosable Fasteners" (similar to Velcro but sturdier) and a few strategically placed screws to mount vinyl covered thin plywood panels to a plywood...

Re: Quick Windlass question

I ordered FVSSRM100000A00 with Quick USA. The part which was shipped is unfortunately the plastic part. I think if you want the aluminum insert as described by UK Ade, you have to order SGMSGB10AL00...

Re: SailVac toilet and holding tank system

Sorry that I did not close this out, in the end most of the parts were discarded due to lack of interest. We moved onto the boat and did not have space to keep it.

Re: Jeanneau stern shower assembly. How to get it?

Have you tried to talk with Gilles Rigaux at Jeanneau USA (443-808 2946)? He has been extremely helpful for me in the past. I would be surprised if he can't get this for you. Beneteau USA will likely...

Re: Quick Windlass question

Yes, UK Ade, this is of great value. I was just looking to buy the plastic insert (wasn't on the boat when I bought it), but the steel part looks like a much better idea. Where did you buy it? I have...

Re: Trent-Severn waterway in a sailboat - lessons learned

B25Matt, thanks for the great and concise summary. Invaluable. We had played with the idea of doing the Trent-Severn, but our 5.5 ft draft quickly put this to bed. It will be Lake Erie.

Re: Groupe Beneteauís Bad Brass Ball-Valves

NYSail, have you tried to obtain a wiring diagram from the dealer or Beneteau USA. I have one for my 2013 Oceanis 41, and it makes understanding the wiring, well, not easy, but manageable.

Re: Groupe Beneteauís Bad Brass Ball-Valves

NYSail, have a look at Forespar Marelon Series 93. They have a model with a horizontal hose barb at the valve ball level. Very space saving concept. I am surprised that other manufacturers donít...

Re: Groupe Beneteauís Bad Brass Ball-Valves

For the record, the Beneteau thru-hulls and valves are not NPT/NPS, but BSP/BSP. They mate well. That does not take away from the other 2 weaknesses: no proper flange, and in particular the material....

Re: The elusive 2" sanitation hose

Jeanneau USA sells the 2" sanitation hose by the meter. If you have a gravity drain, I would not go below 2".

Re: Convert from 220v or not

Sail4ever, Beneteau has extensive wiring documentation for their boats, including OC41. It lists wire gauges. Wiring for 220V in Europe and 120V in the US seem very similar, but there are of course...

capnkev, your's seems to be exactly the same valve Beneteau uses on our Oceanis 41. You should be able to get it through Beneteau dealers.

Re: Identifying my Seacock

This looks like a Sofomarin valve. Beneteau uses one of their models as their holding tank seacock. It looks like they only have a French website, and no retail sales. Have you tried Lagoon spare...

Also, Raritan as a model called SeaEra...
