Re: NAC-3 AP with linear feedback sensor?

Yeah, shield to ground but the system I have is a 3 wire system. Third wire isn't a shield, unless they are now making shields look just like another wire?

I find it hard to believe that their...

Re: Is a dodger a necessity?

Personally i like dodgers and bimini's. My dodger is over my companion way but the layout of my boat doesn't allow the dodger to fully work to protect the cockpit like traditional dodgers locations...

Re: Adding backing plate to Prop Strut - Remove strut?

Now that you say this, that does make sense - I was thinking of a collision - ie a log hitting it and causing damage, but thinking about this further - the force of that isn't going to damage the...

Adding backing plate to Prop Strut - Remove strut?

Hey all,

I had noticed my prop strut is through bolted with just some small normal washers and zero backing plate. The bolts on the inside of the boat are quite rusted looking and the washers...

Re: Radar mount location

Thanks for the replies everyone, outside meant on the side essentially. Thinking about it, basically it'd be blocked entirely on the port or starboard side due to the metal arch.

Thanks for...

Radar mount location

I know a lot of people either have radar on the front of the mast or on a pole on the stern. I've got a solar arch from Atlantic towers with two 350w panels on it. There's no room for a pole on the...

Re: What's the Best Wind Sensor?

Well my WSO100 i think has failed. Getting random readings ranging from 2knts to 115knts. Incredibly inaccurate for what actually is happening. Also seeing 100% humidity most of the time, sometimes...

Re: Replacing seacocks, Groco IBV with base or FBV?

Thanks everyone for the response. I think i'll go with the IBV and appropriate flange. It makes sense being able to A: cap if the valve fails and B: replace the valve when(not if) it wears out.
