Re: 110V(3 wire) panel split to 230V(3 wire) and 110V(3 wire) breakers?

I never mentioned N. American 220V, 4 wire.

The plan would be to only hook up N. American appliances to 110V/3-wire/30A shore. And European appliances to 230V/3-wire/inventer. On the same panel, ...

Re: 110V(3 wire) panel split to 230V(3 wire) and 110V(3 wire) breakers?

Sorry, missed a few responses and thanks everyone for the feedback. I am trying to do precisely what wingssail is saying.

Question 110V(3 wire) panel split to 230V(3 wire) and 110V(3 wire) breakers?

Haven't had much luck Googleing. Is it okay to make half the breakers on a 110V(3 wire) panel, 230V(3 wire) breakers? Or does it need to be split out into its own panel?

I have a few 230V(3 wire)...

Sheared off the end of our sail drive shift cable, now 0.5" shorter

What kind of side effects would this have until we get a chance to get a new cable?

Re: Pressurized fresh water pump triggered every 2 hours

Coolant theory is interested. I was bestowed with a little extra coolant about a month ago.

Also interesting. We use to have a similar occurrence of the pump when we left our transom...

Pressurized fresh water pump triggered every 2 hours

For the last few weeks, our pressurized fresh water pump is being triggered every 2 hours or so for about half a second.

So far I have yet to find a leak. Could this be a sign of another issue...

Usage of Victron Relays?

Is anyone using the relays that comes off their Victron gear for something other than alarms?

Re: Volvo Penta D1-30 Breaker Trips

Thanks DougR & Lepke.

I have ordered a replacement and will swap it out. It was missing the nut that holds it into place, causing it to rattle around, so perhaps it was damaged

I'll also...

Volvo Penta D1-30 Breaker Trips

The breaker trips while one of our Volvo Penta D1-30s is running. This requires it to be stopped manually and then I reset the breaker after it cools down but it will not reset immediately after the...

Periodic Oil Pressure Alarm at around 1800rpm, Volvo Penta D1-30

One of my Volvo Penta D1-30 diesels gives a period oil pressure alarm/light at around 1800rpm. If we keep it under, no problems at all. Unfortunately, we just have idiot lights. Any recommendations...

We are going to be cruising the tropics for the next few years and our Isotherm 42503BA100000 fridge compressor just died. Looks like the compressor is hard to find and would cost the same or less to...

Re: BVIs in September?

We did BVI September of 2010. Weather was exciting at times, as we did get impacted by the far outer edges of a few storms, but we never felt unsafe.

The Moorings did ask us to stay within decent...

Still struggles just a little to...

Re: Trouble getting to and keeping idle

Should have mentioned this but it seemed to start happening around the time we got a new head gasket and heat exchanger. Perhaps something didn't get buttoned up all the way/properly?

Seems...
