Use a piece of VHF coax antenna cable as a snake. Computer Cat 5 cable may work as well. It is stiff yet flexible.

If the boats have screwed down teak decks, take caution for "leaky teaky" decks where water has seeped down into the core material (balsa..?) of the deck, rotting the material creating soft spots.

I am pretty sure this is why it is necessary to install the the anti-siphon loop (between the HX raw water output and the exhaust manifold nipple.) as high as possible.
