Re: Voltage too high for Victron Iso Transformer

Achemy, I agree, and as I said, we've run into it on multiple occasions. I finally just bypassed the iso-transformer completely.

Re: Voltage too high for Victron Iso Transformer

Actually, that is the model I have, the 3600W Auto. Yes, up to 130v, it switches to 115 but at anything above 126v, it will not stay on. I didn't run into the problem until about two years after...

Voltage too high for Victron Iso Transformer

I've run into a problem with my Isolation Transformer from Victron. If the shore power voltage is over 126, it fails to work because the voltage is too high. Anybody know of an inexpensive way to...

Proper chainplates would be easy to install on the sides of your stern. Sign up for the ebooks on https://www.morganscloud.com/ The amount of information on drogue installation, not to mention all...

ComNav Commander P2 issue.

My autopilot has started an odd behavior. Every so often, it will make a soft 90deg turn to port. If allowed to continue, it will turn it into a 360deg turn and recover. But itís annoying to be...

Re: From My Design to My Installation: New AC Power System

Palarran, does the breaker blow if you have it off before plugging into shore power? I never have the breaker on until shore power is connected and live.

I'm also unhappy with my Victron auto-iso...

Re: Going PAPERLESS afloat?

I didn't know Chapman's was out in Kindle format yet. Cool!

Now if only all the cruising guides we like were available on Kindle. The Douglass "Exploring" Guides are indispensible in the PNW,...

Re: Going PAPERLESS afloat?

We're going as paperless as we can. Our main reader for manuals, receipts, etc. is an iPad Pro with celluar for GPS.

The best app for PDF manuals is "GoodReader".

The best app for scanning...

Re: What is this icon mean? B&G Zeus 2 Chartplotter

Have you ever tried to connect it to the Internet for updates? If so, it didn’t complete. You might try downloading the latest update and running it from a file for all your B&G products.

Re: Jordan Series Drogue experience

I went with an ACE Dyneema series drogue. The Dyneema increased the cost, but it greatly decreased both the bulk and weight of the thing. To help with deployment, I bought a deployment bag from...

We love our Slocum! Very solid and very homey!

Looks like I may have to go...

Re: Marinco 30 Amp Shore Power Inlets

When my last Marinco fried, I switched to SmartPlug. Love it! Only way to make it better would be to enable larger cabling. I would have preferred to replace my wiring with larger gauge. Oh well,...

Re: Why is there no VHF mike near helm of charter sailboat

Always take your own handheld DSC/GPS VHF radio with you on charters. That way you always have immediate commas in the cockpit of any boat you're chartering.

The reason for no remote mic is...
