There is no "automatic protection" for dumb sailors possible which would work by itself and would "avoid lightning" or "protect" the boat. At least, not for modern boats with loads of electronics. ...

Prices on many bigger catamarans dropped a lot already...on some models like 1/3 or close to that. But due to stupid governments this lifestyle farther than ever...

1. You're not in the rush. Then keep searching, making REALISTIC from YOUR point of view offers and leave idiots with their boats and brokers alone. Right boat will pop up...
