I like to drop an anchor with a shortish rode off the stern, then if you start moving that anchor should swing the boat a bit and start it rocking which is a good alarm

The first time I met Reg he was walking along the, 5 feet above the deck, boom on his 50 odd foot ferrocement sailboat, holding on to a halyard for balance.
He was complaining that he didn't get out...

We have a 9.9 Yamaha on our 32 foot 13,000 boat.
It moves it just fine but is not good at stopping it....have to be careful.
